CHINDIA: INDIA ALLIED TO CHINA?

In 2005, Chinese President Hu Jintao meets in Jakarta with Indian Prime Minister Singh.

China and India make up 40% of the world's population.

Together they have about 4 million troops.

Imagine the huge size of an alliance of China and India, with Russia, Brazil, and Indonesia.

Perhaps countries such as Turkey and even Mexico could be added.

No doubt the USA will try to make sure that these countries stay weak and that at least some of them side with the USA.

Hence such events as the Mumbai attacks. (BRUCE REIDEL and the BOMBAY ATTACKS)

There is no doubt a US connection to the Gladio-style terror in Istanbul, New York, Jakarta ...

However, trade between China and India is growing fast.

India's biggest trading partner is China.

China gets much of its iron ore from India.

India and China are cooperating with each other when it comes to bidding for African oil. (India and China: 19 August 2010: The Economist)

Of course certain people would like us to think that India is targeting China's oil supplies

At the 2010 summit of the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, China) India and China emphasised that they are not in competition.

India's prime minister says: "There is enough economic space for us both." (India and China: 19 August 2010: The Economist)

Meanwhile, the USA is trying hard to cling on to friendship with such countries as India, Indonesia and even Vietnam.

It would not be too difficult to make India suspicious of China.

China is building deepwater ports in Pakistan and Bangladesh, roads in Nepal and oil and gas pipelines in Myanmar. (India and China: 19 August 2010: The Economist)

In 2008, China agreed to build two nuclear-power plants for Pakistan.
